This is the first trailer i want to look into, 'Gothika' I like how the same thing is said repeated in this case - "How can you trust someone, when they think you're crazy?", another aspect of the trailer i like is where there is almost a boundary between the charactors and the camera, for example looking through glass or a opague fence of some kind.
With this trailor, i like how they use the idea of taking drugs putting them in a surreal state using a motion blur to portray this to the audience. The blurs i feel have a great effect on it's audience, including them in the effects drugs can have on you and how simple things become hard to determine. I also like how there is little lighting throughout the night scenes and props such as a campfire are used to create a more tense atmosphere. I also like how the moving image in some places turns into a captured image, to highlight certain emotions and feelings of the characters that are to be purposely noticed.
In this trailer I am mostly drawn to the sharp cuts between frames yet the slower effects with the titles, all adding to the suspense of the trailer. I also like the idea of children used in a horror film, this represents the idea of something innocent becoming your worst nightmare.
